Well done Room 7. You all showed true sportsmanship at St Thomas School today. Here are a few snapshots.
Thank you to the parents who came along to help and support the students. A huge thank you to St Thomas School for organising such a fun event.

Room 7 class members Matthew Gill, Kason Breen and Archie Bryan explain to Room 4 how we made our Korowai and what it means to us.

Room 7 Class Korowai

Room 7 began the year by creating a class Korowai (Traditional Maori Cloak) to symbolize things that are important to us as individuals and as a class. We incorporated our school values and discussed what they mean to us as learners. We also drew symbols that represent important things like our families, interests, and hobbies. It was a great way to get to know each other and establish a classroom environment where we feel safe, respected and valued.
Last week we were able to share what we had done with Room 4 who had also created a Korowai. How fantastic! It was great to hear the explanations of both rooms. Ms Mynes and I felt very proud of what our classes have achieved.
